What do you think about the fisheries that you visit? This is an opportunity for you to comment on the standards of fisheries around the country, with our particular interest in access for people with disabilities. The BDAA recognises that the lay of the land may not allow full accessibility to all disabled users. However, overall standards of good parking, safe surfaces, friendly staff, toilets and shelter and decent pegs/platforms/swims access are universal. Below is a simple ranking system.
This site is moderated and no abusive or gratuitously offensive comment will be permitted. Comment must be within the framework of the twelve criteria and we encourage reviewers to be factual rather than opinionated. The BDAA wishes to encourage fisheries and organisations to improve standards and open more waters to disabled anglers. The BDAA Approved Fisheries Award Scheme is about constructive criticism not destructive alienation of people who may have made an effort, even if that effort is not enough. The most helpful comments will be those where you are able to identify places where small changes would make a huge difference to disabled access.
Your comments will be submitted to our web manager who will create a thread on our Approved Fisheries Award Scheme open forum where others can comment on your submission. Individual scoring on criteria will not be indicated on the forum. An overall standard will be averaged from your rating of the criteria.
