Bruno Broughton collects his very well deserved Individual Award 2004
The inaugural Individual Award was presented to an individual who is not short of presence on angling bodies and clubs, is not slow to provide advice, and who has had his fair share of the press. But none of that is why the contribution of this individual was acknowledged with this Award.
The 2004 Dreamstore Active Individual Award was for a man who brings an infectious enthusiasm, hard work and intellectual strength to all that he does. Whether it is scientific advice to a fishery or official body, or battling with the pace of placing prizes on a tombola stand, the intellectual and physical effort is obvious. Thorough, detailed, confident. Most of all, able to communicate in a simple and direct language that reassures and invigorates others. You implicitly trust this man; a quiet man who does not thrust himself to the fore. A man who has time for others, and the patience to listen to even the dumbest questions and provide an answer as if the question had come from a PhD student.
The 2004 Dreamstore Active Individual Award was presented to a man who leads by example, Dr. Bruno Broughton.
