10th & 11th May will be a terrific weekend at the Loch Lomond Sea Life Centre. “Celebrating Scotland’s Sharks” – a weekend of science, intrigue and fun organised by our friends at the Scottish Sea Angling Conservation Network, along with Marine Alliance for Science and Technology for Scotland (MASTS) and Sea Life.
The weekend will promote meaningful research achieved through the collaboration of NGOs, Education Groups and Marine Scotland Science (MS Science) that helps ensure a healthy future for Scottish shark species. There’ll be presentations by scientists young and old on the work being carried out in Scotland and SSACN will talk about the work and achievements of the Scottish Shark Tagging Programme
Alongside the science there’ll also be range of activities for everyone, of all ages, aimed at raising awareness of what has been achieved to date, including:
- Display areas for the various bodies taking part and other supporting groups
- Life size models and life size image projections on the auditorium screen.
- Shark in the classroom sessions with interactive computer software
- SeaLife staff talks and demonstrations
…and lots more in planning.
