This year we have the opportunity to recognize someone who brings a personal mission to fishing.

Our 2013 Individual Award is presented to Ian Houlton.

Despite this he remains committed to the value of angling to benefit social inclusion and community development. Ian has persevered and continues share his enthusiasm and love of fishing, positively promoting angling and serving others.

Ian is a graduate of Dreamstore Academy and his greatest passion is to convince people of the value of sea fishing as a source of food for the table – he also gardens, to complete the serving.

David Hoey, Dreamstore, comments:

“Ian is an outstanding example of the individual angler who simply wishes to make a difference, and is focused on the people he helps and what he needs to do to be able to support others. He uncomplicates angling to make it fun, and enjoyable, with a practical side in respect of placing food on the the table. His passion for sea-angling is infectious. He is a truly worthy individual. This Award is absolutely deserved.”
