Improving Access2Angling at Lavender Hall

Dreamstore is delighted to be able to support improvements at Lavender Hall Fishery to the junior angling programme there; Access2Angling. Dreamstore’s small grant secured new Daiwa seat boxes for Access2Angling to use across a range of activities, purchased through the Lavender Hall Fishery shop. The new seat boxes will greatly enhance the experience of young people attending the regular Saturday coaching sessions and other events.

Access2Angling is a junior fishing club based at Lavender Hall Fishery in Berkeswell, West Midlands. The aim of the club is to develop the anglers of the future. The club offers basic introduction to angling and participants are encouraged to grow and develop their skills to gain maximum enjoyment and satisfaction from their angling.  Competitive angling is not central to the club, but for those interested tuition is provided on fishing in that environment.

Angling days have been also been provided by Access2Angling to local schools and youth groups. The club has grown steadily, with around 25 registered participants, and welcomes new members from the area. While Lavender Hall clearly offers development around coarse angling, Access2Angling has ambition to provide introductions to fly and sea angling, working with other similar groups.

Dreamstore looks forward to hearing more about Access2Angling and the progress of junior angling at Lavender Hall Fishery.
