The British Disabled Angling Association (BDAA) was founded in 1996 by Terry Moseley to help develop opportunities for people with disabilities to access the activity of fishing in the UK.

A charity dedicated to the conservation of wild trout in Britain and Ireland through protection and restoration of their habitats.

The British Disabled Angling Association has created the Approved Fisheries Award Scheme to acknowledge those fisheries that have demonstrated their commitment to opening access and facilities on an inclusive basis, particularly for people with disabilities and in response to the difficulty in finding appropriate venues to run angling participation programmes organised by the BDAA and partner organisations.

Barry Morris, Lead Project Officer for enrichment support at the Royal National College for the Blind, created the RNC Angling Club in partnership with Dreamstore UK and the British Disabled Angling Association.
