The Conservation Award 2008 supported by Dreamstore UK has been presented to the Wild Trout Trust. The Wild Trout Trust acts as a catalyst in stimulating hands-on, in-the-water, habitat-improvement projects at a grass-roots level - effectively helping others to help themselves.

The Social Inclusion Award 2008 supported by Dreamstore UK was presented to John and Rozy Brooks, from Redruth, Cornwall, who have individually and together, provided support to a vast range of social inclusion projects and programmes in Cornwall.

The Group Award 2008 supported by the Environment Agency was presented to the Royal National College for the Blind for its willingness to incorporate an Angling Club as part of the personal development and life enrichment offer at the College.

The first ever Dreamstore Day at Stoke City's Britannia Stadium Saturday 11th October has been hailed as a huge success. Around forty participants attended, from all over the country, attending a series of seminars and demonstrations. The Day included presentation of the Dreamstore Active Awards 2008 and a demonstration of the highly innovative Dreamstore Education Action Zone.

The Club has held a series of matches over the summer, now possible because of the store of equipment provided by Dreamstore UK.

New website for visually impaired anglers

Dreamstore UK and the Royal National College for the Blind is delighted to be able to announce the launch of the RNC Angling Club at www.dreamstore.org/rncangling/

Dreamstore has provided a wide range of Browning-ZEBCO equipment to Lymm High School for a new Angling Club. Eric Hazzard, a teacher at Lymm High School, has ten to fifteen Year 8 pupils meeting each Wednesday lunchtime for an Angling Club Hour – since Whit half term everyone has been taken angling in groups of 4/5 each Wednesday.

Desiree Elliot of Stoke Angling for Everyone thanks Dreamstore for its support in helping bridge a funding gap, allowing the youngest members of SAFE’s Youth Clubs to take part in all the activities.

Dreamstore has been delighted to provide Halton Brook Children’s Centre some funding towards the Centre’s Fishing Club and a large range of Browning equipment. The first outing with the new equipment took place at Easter 2008.
