Planning ahead for Dreamstore Academy

We’ve just completed a Dreamstore Academy in Preston, delivering our Level 2 coaching qualification to participants from England including the first Angling for Youth Development members outside Scotland and for the North West Stroke Association. More later…

We are presently delivering a Dreamstore Academy course at Stranraer, in the Police Station – a first for us.

The course includes participants who will voluneer for a new Dunfries & Galloway AFYD from local schools, police and fishery trust among others. Also in Stranraer are participants from AFYDs in West Lothian and Renfrewshire, two from Fisheries Ireland and a participant from a Northern Ireland disability centre.

Plans are now being considered for a second Dreamstore Academy in England, somewhere between the West Midlands and the Bristol area, and a further Academy is Scotland. These will take place in the Autumn.

If you are active in the voluntary sector and using or thinking about including angling as part of your activities, and might be interested in gaining a coaching qualification that has been specifically developed for the voluntary sector, register on our website and we’ll keep you up to date with our plans.
