Dreamstore has had a long association with the Halton Brook Children’s Centre in Runcorn. When the Centre learned about the Big Fish Festival it recommended a local group to come along for the day.
Jane Bennett, one of the key workers on the Project, describes what the day, and what the opportunity ‘to have a go’ meant to the young people from Runcorn.
The Canal Boat Adventure Project provides residential service for young people 7- 21 years old and can include training, educational and social opportunities. The CBAP addresses social inclusion by offering opportunities for children and young people in organising, in partnership with adults, residential or day projects: these cover group work, training and support based on identified needs.
